Ionia Daily Sentinel – Thursday, 2 January 1930

Mrs. W. R. Geer, 65, of Grand Rapids, mother of Mrs. K. R. Smith, Jr., of 
Ionia, and at one time a resident here died at her home, 249 Fuller Avenue, S. 
E. Tuesday night after a long illness.  The funeral services will be held 
Friday morning at 10 o’clock at the residence and the interment will be made 
at Hastings.

Mrs. Geer was a native of Hastings, and with the exception of a short 
residence in Ionia while Mr. Geer was shipping clerk at the furniture factory 
connected with the Michigan reformatory, lived the greater part of her life in 
Grand Rapids.

Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Geer leaves three grandchildren.
