Gary Duane Geiger, age 64 passed away peacefully at his home in Coopersville on 
Sunday, December 29, 2013 with family by his side.  Gary was born on July 3, 
1949 to Fredrick D. and Elvetta L. (Vandlen) Geiger of Freeport, MI.  He 
attended school in Woodland and Lake Odessa, graduating in 1967.  

Gary was preceded in death by his father Fredrick Geiger.  Gary is survived and 
dearly loved by his wife LeeAnna (Dorough), mother Elvetta Geiger, son Doug 
(Lori) Geiger, stepchildren Mindy Drollinger, Chad Reuss and Adam Reuss, 
brothers Randy (Sharon) Geiger, Roger (Mary) Geiger, sisters Diane (William) 
Ramey, Marilyn (Thomas) Simmons; 6 step grandchildren, 2 step-great 
grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Gary lived for many years in Woodland and worked for General Motors in Lansing. 
During this time he enjoyed his hobbies of raising roses, woodworking, and his 
greatest passion of restoring antique tractors.  After his retirement from GM, 
Gary and Lee Anna fulfilled his dream to move to Florida where they spent many 
happy years enjoying the warm climate and their pet birds.  They moved back to 
Michigan in recent years to be near family until Gary went home to God. 

Respecting Gary's wishes, a private family gathering was held at Koops funeral 
home in Lake Odessa, MI with interment taking place next to his father at 
Woodland Memorial Park, Woodland, MI.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests 
that memorial gifts be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
