Last Rites for Minnie Geiger
Mrs. Minnie E. Geiger, 94, passed away Monday evening at her home on Route 1,
Woodland. 

She was born in Greenville, Ohio, April 12, 1876, the daughter of Henry and Phoebe
(Davis) Brumbaugh, and had been a resident of the Woodland area many years.

April 12,1894, she married Roy J. Wheeler of Woodland. He passed away in 1906. Then
in 1920 she married August Geiger, who passed away in August. 1936

Mrs. Geiger was a member of the South Woodland Church of the Brethren, the WMA of
the church and the WCTU.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Vivian (LaVonne) Geiger of Woodland; a son Carl
Wheeler of Middleville; five grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild;
also one sister, Mrs. Edna Kief of Monte Video, Minn.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel,
Lake Odessa, with burial in Woodland Memorial Park.
