Sentinel-Std. - Monday, April 14, 1975

LAKE ODESSA - Fred J. Geiger, Sr. 95, a retired Woodland farmer, died Saturday 
afternoon at the Barry county Medical Care facility near Hastings, after being a 
patient six weeks.

Born in Woodland township, November 22, 1879, he was the son of Andrew and 
Louise Hickman Geiger and lived his entire life in the same area.

March 12, 1919, he was married to Ruth Underwood, who died November 16,1973. He 
was a member of the Nazarene church of Nashville 30 years.

Among his survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Alberta Curtis and a son, Fred, Jr., 
both of rural Woodland; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the Pickens-Koops funeral home in 
Lake Odessa. Rev. James Sherman will officiate and interment will be at the 
Woodland Memorial Park.

Sentinel-Std. Wednesday, April 16, 1975
Funeral services for Fred J. Geiger, Sr. of Woodland, who died Saturday, were 
conducted Tuesday at 1:30 pm in Lake Odessa. Rev. James Sherman officiated and 
interment was at Woodland Memorial Park.

Bearers were Gary and Randy Geiger, Jerry Curtis, Barry Donaldson, Herb and John 
Bishop.
