Geiger, 92, of rural Belding, passed away Saturday morning March 27, 2004 at Metron of Greenville Nursing Home. John was born on October 24, 1911 in Belding, the son of Carl and Agnes Drummer Geiger. He was a lifetime farmer and retired from Gibson's after 27 years of service. John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. On February 6, 1936 in Lowell he married Catherine Bollock and she survives along with their children, Barbara Jean and Richard Anstett of Manton, Kenneth and Gloria Geiger and Jerry J. Geiger all of Belding. John is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, his brothers and sister Ernest and Evelyn Geiger, Raymond Geiger and Nora Rich all of Belding. John was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Thomas Geiger, three sisters, Loretta Borek, Esther Pierce, Valeria Randall, three brothers, George, Karl and Paul. Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding with Father Troy Nevins officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. with the rosary prayed at 8:00 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Lowell. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Church Building Fund.
