He was born August 7, 1963 in Ionia the son of Paul Herman and Sandra Kay (Harrington) Geiger. Paul graduated from Belding High School in 1981 and would later enter the Army in 1982 Serving until his retirement from active duty in 1991. After his retirement he joined the Army National Guard from 2002 until 2016.His highest rank upon retirement was Sergeant First Class. Paul was a member of the American Legion Post in Belding and Saranac. He was also a member of the VFW Post in Belding. Paul was a member of the Belding Eagles and served on the Soldier Sailors Relief Board as a liaison. Surviving Paul are his children, Sandra Dee Geiger of Stanton, Dylan geiger & Kassidy Smith of Saranac and Xzavier geiger of Florida.Granddaughter, Eve geiger, Mother, Sandra Cook of Belding, Brother Calvin Williams of Saranac. Sisters, Leslie (Martin) Myers of Ada and Darcy(Bob) Bassier of Cedar Springs. Step-sisters Barb Hausserman of Ionia, Carol(Ron) Starks of Ionia, Debra(Ron) Brownell of Muir, Angie (Bill) Mentzer of Wisconsin and Nancy Cook of Ionia. Several Nieces Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Geiger, stepfather Jerry Cook, brothers Scott and Phil Williams and stepsister Diane Seymour. Funeral services will be at the Lake Funeral Home in ionia on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Interment with Military Honors to follow at the Saranac Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am.until the time of services.
