Bessie M. Geisel, 83, died Sunday in the Pilgrim Manor in Grand Rapids where she
had lived for nine years.  She was born on May 16, 1896, in Woodbury, the
daughter of William and Cassie Rawson Wells.  She was married to George L.
Geisel on April 2, 1913.  He died in 1966.

Mrs. Geisel was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Women’s
Fellowship and Friendly Service.  She also was a life member of the Lake Odessa
Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 315, where she was the organist for many years.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Ionia; a brother, Irol Wells of Woodbury;
three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Pickens-Koops Funeral
Chapel with the Rev. John Doud? officiating.  Burial will be at the Lakeside
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives in the funeral chapel
from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the
Lake Odessa Congregational Church.  Envelopes are available at the chapel.
