PAULINE M. GEISEL

IONIA-Pauline M.Geisel, 70, of 636 Lafayette St., Ionia died Wednesday at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 23, 1916 in Beaverton, the daughter of Jacob and Frances 
Meadows Hoover.

She married Kenneth G.Geisel on Dec. 25, 1935 and had lived in Ionia since 1942.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ionia and past president of 
the Women's Association. She was a member of the choir, the Retiree's Group, the 
Presbyterian Quilters.

She was a past president of Church Women United and was on the Board of 
Directors of Christian Service Center.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth , two sons, Larry of Pittsburg, Penn, George 
of Ionia, one daughter, Shari Cooper of Austin, Tex., three grandchildren, three
sisters, Lucy Rise of Sunfield, Dorothy Quigg of Jackson and Virginia Roberts of 
Lake Odessa.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Irvin Hoover, and two sisters, Frances 
Faul and Genevieve Potter.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in 
Ionia, with the Rev. Robert Nixon officiating.

Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer 
Society. Envelopes are available at the church or at Koops Funeral Chapel in 
Lake Odessa.

The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the 
First Presbyterian church on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m.
