The death is a very sad one, deceased being a most estimable lady who enjoyed the acquaintance of a wide circle of friends. The grief stricken husband and relatives have the sympathy of all. Mr. and Mrs. Gellendin were married a year ago last October and lived happily together in a cozy little home on Allen street which was brightened last week Wednesday with the arrival of a little daughter. Its demise followed two days later, and now the mother is taken. She was 24 years of age, and besides her husband she leaves her mother, Caroline Gierman, her sister, Miss Martha Gierman, and brother, Charles Gierman of the Sentinel office force. Mrs. Gellendin was a consistent member of St. John's Lutheran church, from which place the funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon' interment in Highland Park. The funeral services for Mrs. William Gellendin were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, from St. John's Lutheran church, North Jefferson street, Rev. H. Succop officiating. His remarks were full of sympathy for the bereaved husband and relatives, and kind words for the deceased, who was a devoted member of the church and loved by a large profusion of flowers which covered the casket. The remains were carried to the grave in Highland- Park by Messrs. Frank, John and Robert Ammon, Robert Holtz, Frank Hess and Herman Cusbar. Appropriate music was furnished by the church choir.
