Ionia Sentinel Standard, 9 Jun 1954

Requiem High Mass was sung at SS. Peter and Paul church Wednesday morning at 9 
o’clock by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Gilliespie for William A. Gemuend Jr., who died 
at noon Sunday at Blodgett Hospital  Interment was at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Pallbearers were Loe Fuller, Fred Kidd Jr., Paul Jackson, Harlon V. Eggleston, 
Max Koss and Robert Robinson.  Members of plant protection of the Fisher Body 
plant No. 2 attended in a body.

Those from away who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. H. Kenneth Gemuend 
and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jackson, Charles McGannon, and Fred Nentwig of 
Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Burrows of Silver Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phelps of 
Saginaw; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Phelps of Grand Haven; Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Harvey, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blackwell, Mr. and 
Mrs. Douglas Wertsch, Harry Bliss, J.C. Becker, Paul Eilola, Mr. and Mrs. 
Douglas Wetrsch, Richard Houlihan, Carl Austin, Lawrence Armstrong, Eldred 
Hellberg, Don Trommater, Frank VanDeWeghe, George Poulias, Bernard O’Neil, 
Walter Peacock, Dorward Boss, John DeGroot, Leo Strohpatd? and Mrs. Jean 
Selbach of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Smith of Orleans, Mr. and Mrs. 
Dean Olmsted and Don Olmsted of Belding; and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Phelps of 
Hastings. 

Funeral arrangements were made by Myers funeral home.
