Brian L. Gensterblum, Jr., 35, of Crystal, formerly of Palo, passed away Monday,
Jan. 29, 2007, at Porter Hills Presbyterian Village.  Brian was born June 2,
1971, to Brian L. Gensterblum Sr. and Kathy Hoople in Belding.  He graduated
from Carson City-Crystal High School in 1989.  Brian worked for Victor’s Hair
Products in Chicago as a manager.  He enjoyed reading, listening to music,
people and being in the big city of Chicago.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Thelma Hoople,
Francis and Marjorie Gensterblum, and Jack and Marzella Tyler.  He is survived
by his mother, Kathy and Tim Tyler of Crystal; father, Brian Sr. and Sherri
Gensterblum of Lake Odessa; brother, Kurt Gensterblum of Crystal; stepsister,
Tina Tyler and fiance Oscar Marino of Crystal; step brothers, Tim and John Tyler
of Los Angeles, Calif.; stepsister, Brenda and Frank Rider of Rockford;
stepbrother, Greg and Tanya Sturgess of Grand Rapids; cousins, nieces, nephews,
and special niece and nephew, Dominique and Oscar “Buddy.”

A memorial service is 1 p.m. Friday at Crystal Congregational Church with Pastor
Ried Martin officiating.  Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church
with services following.  Memorials may be made to wishes of the family. 
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Crystal.
