Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1980

PORTLAND- Lloyd H. Gensterblum, 35, of 7772 Elmwood, Rt. 2, Portland, died 
Monday in a Lansing hospital.

He was born April 3, 1945, in Fowler, the son of Richard and Marcella (Martin) 
Gensterblum.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a veteran of Vietnam, a member 
of the Portland VFW Post 4090 and a member of the American Legion Walter T. 
Roach Post 182.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, two sons, Richard and Douglas, both of 
home, a brother, Donald and Luke, both of Lansing; six sisters, Ruth Sillman 
and Marilyn Harris, both of DeWitt, and Luann Feldspausch, Mary Ellen 
Gensterblum, Lynette Gensterblum and Jane Gensterblum, all of Fowler, and his 
parents. 

One brother, Richard, preceded him in death.

Rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Neller Funeral 
Home, Portland.

Funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church 
with the Rev. Donald Weber officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Fowler.

Graveside services will be by the VFW and American Legion post of which he was 
a member.

Pallbearers will be Steven and Scott Sillman, Bart Frayer, James Fox, Kenneth 
Thelen and Robert Hodge.
