Cancer was the cause of his death. Mr. George was born in Gallion County, Ohio. He later moved with his family to a farm near Marion, Mich. He was a carpenter by trade. A short time ago the family moved to Laingsburg, where one of his sons lived. In November, 1933, Mr. and Mrs. George moved to Ionia, living on South Jefferson street. His health had been poor for the past seven years and he had been unable to work and recently he had been confined to his bed although conscious until the last. Besides his widow, Margaret, he leaves nine children, Fred George, Stevenson place, Ionia, Mrs. Emmett Streets, of Churubusco, Ind., Albert Rahn, of Newberry, Charles George, of Laingsburg, Lester George, of Owosso, Mrs. Ernest Giles, Mrs. W.H.Linsey, Frank George and John George, all of California. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church at 1:30 Friday afternoon in Marion. Burial will be at the Marion cemetery. Anyone wishing to view the remains may do so at the Stone funeral home until 8 o’clock Friday morning.
