Shannon Hope Geotsch-Beck, 38, of Gowen, passed away unexpectedly Saturday,
Sept. 20, 2014, near Gowen.  Shannon was born on July 30, 1976, in Grand Rapids,
the daughter of Michael L. and Jacqueline (Philips) Elvert.

Shannon attended Ionia Public School, enjoyed cooking, baking, hunting, and
fishing.  She had a green thumb for growing herbs in her garden.  Shannon was a
giving person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Shannon is loved and survived by her parents, Mike and Nancy Elvert of Missouri
and Jacque Brandt of Grand Rapids; her children, Ivy K. Elvert of Grand Rapids,
Hope A. Geotsch of Ludington and Jamison A. Geotsch of Hastings; brother and
sister-in-law, Christopher and Heather; two sisters, Justine and Taneka; and her
grandmother, Emma Furman.  Shannon was preceded by her maternal grandparents,
her grandfather, two uncles and her cousin.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Holy Cross Lutheran
Church, Belding, with Pastor Robert Wagner officiating.  Visitation will be one
hour before the service.  Following the funeral a luncheon will take place in
the lower level of the church.  Private interment will be in Sunset Memorial
Gardens, Ionia.  Memorial contributions may be given to the family.  Funeral
care has been entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding
