Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Dec 1965

Mrs. Anna Gerlinger, 97, formerly of route one, Clarksville, died early Monday
morning at Barry County Medical Center.  She was the widow of William F.
Gerlinger who died in December 1945.  Mrs. Gerlinger was born May 12, 1868 in
the first frame house erected in Woodland, the eldest daughter of John and Mary
Velte Summ.  She spent her entire life in the Woodland area with the exception
of 16 years with her daughter of route two, Clarksville and the last five years
at the facility.  She was a member of Woodland United Brethren church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Homer Henney; six grandchildren and 22
great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., at Pickens funeral chapel at
Lake Odessa.  The Rev. Max Ovenshire will officiate and interment will be at
Woodland Memorial cemetery.
