She was born in Woodland township and her parents were John and Mary (Summ) Velte and attended the Holmes rural church and was a graduate of the Nashville high school. She married Ruben C. Gerlinger in 1901 and they lived at Woodland before moving to Hastings in 1933. Mr. Gerlinger died in 1951. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stuart (Pauline) Clement of Hastings; a son, Russell, with whom she lived; five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Anna M. Gerlinger. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Leonard funeral home at Hastings with burial in the Riverside cemetery, Hastings. Rev. George Elliott officiated. Subsequent Publication: Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 9, for Wilhemina (Minnie) Gerlinger, 85, of Hastings, at the Leonard funeral home with burial in the Riverside cemetery. A native of Woodland township, she was the daughter of John and Mary Velte and married Ruben Gerlinger in 1901. They lived at Woodland before moving to Hastings in 1933. He passed away in 1951. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stuart (Pauline) Clement of Hastings, a son, Russell, with whom she lived; a sister, Mrs. Anna Gerlinger and five grandchildren.
