Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 4 Jan 1950

Miss Florence Germain, a former Muir resident in her eighties, died Tuesday, 
Jan. 3, in Chicago at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Abbott.

She was born in Muir, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Germain.  She lived 
for many years in Muir.  Four years ago she moved to Chicago to make her home 
with her sister.

The body arrived in Muir Wednesday afternoon.  Funeral services will be 
conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Shaw-Rivett funeral home with interment 
in Muir cemetery.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was 
buried in North Plains cemetery.]
