The Ionia Sentinel, Friday, February 5, 1875
Another of the old settlers gone.  Mrs. G. W. Germain died at her home in 
North Plans on Monday, January 25.  The funeral took place at the North Plains 
school house on Wednesday, Rev. E. O. Taylor , pastor of the Baptist Church of 
this city, officiating.  The services were attended by a large concourse of 
the neighbors and friends of the deceased.  Mrs. Germain had an extensive 
acquaintance, and had only to be known to be respected and admired.
