The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, May 6, 1941
Miss Harriet Germaine, retired school teacher, died at her home in Muir 
Tuesday morning.  She was born in North Plains township and lived her early 
life there.  Later she moved to Chicago where she taught in the public schools 
until about ten years ago when she came to Muir with her sister, Miss Florence 
Germaine, to make her home.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss Florence Germaine of Muir and Mrs. Frank 
Abbott of Chicago, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m. from the home.  
Interment will be at the North Plains cemetery.
