Wave, Wed. Sept. 3, 1980 REV. GERALD GETMAN PEACH BOTTOM, PA.- The Rev. Gerald M. Getman, 72, of Peach Bottom, Penn., formerly of South Haven, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 31, 1980. He was a graduate of God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and an ordained elder in the Westland Church. he began his ministry in Lake Odessa. He also served the Wesleyan Church in Old Town, Maine. He was also an associate pastor in Central Wesleyan Church in Holland. He joined the Schuylkill Circuit in Pennsylvania, serving five churches. He served the church in Lancaster County Pennsylvania for the past three years. Prior to his ministry, he was superintendent and project manager for Getman Brothers Construction Co. in South Haven. He is survived by his wife Myrtle; two sons, Ralph of Holbrook, Ariz., and the Rev. Thomas of Macomb, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Amaryllis) Johnston of Sedona, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three brothers, Eldon, Elias and Herman, all of South Haven. Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Family Life Center of the Central Wesleyan Church on 40th Street in Holland, with burial in Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
