Joyce E. Getts, 67, of Stanton died at the Keleey Memorial Hospital of 
Lakeview on Friday, March 27.  Mrs. Getts was born August 17, 1930 in Ionia.  
Her parents are Vern and Gladys (Essex) Simmons.  She married Harold (Vic) 
Getts on March 25, 1950 in Ionia. 

She was survived by her daughter, Darlene Ridgeway of Stanton, her two sons, 
Donald Getts of Sheridan and David and Diane Getts of McBride, two sisters 
Joann Krausz of Portland and Janice VanSickle of Lake Odessa, her brother John 
(Deb) Simmons of Ionia, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She 
was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Getts, on April 12, 1988 and a 
grandson, Aaron Getts in 1986.

Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm. on Sunday, March 29 at the 
Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home in Sheridan.  Funeral services will be at 11 
a.m. on Monday, March 30 with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  The interment 
will be at Evergreen Cemetery of Sheridan.
