The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, December 24, 1927


The body of John Getz, who died suddenly in Detroit Thursday afternoon, arrived 
in Ionia Friday night, and was taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. William 
Rowley, where the funeral services will be held Monday at 2 o’clock in charge 
of Rev. George A. Johnston, of Muir.  The burial will take place in Oak Hill 
cemetery.

Besides his sister in Ionia he is survived by a father, Wendel Getz, of Ronald; 
a brother, William Getz, of Ronald, and a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, 
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Roscoe, of Detroit, at whose home he died.
