         MRS.SAMUEL GIBBS DIES IN EAST

News has reached Portland relatives of the death of Mrs.Samuel Gibbs, formerly a 
resident of this village, who passed away Christmas morning at 6:30 at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs.Horace B. Dunn in Huntingdon, Pa., with whom she 
had made her home since the death of Mr.Gibbs in August, 1915. The cause of her 
death was gallstones and her illness was of less than a week's duration 
Mrs.Gibbs' maiden name was Lucinda Dennison and she was born in Massachusetts 77 
years ago. Her first husband was nelson Williams and after his death she married 
Samuel Gibbs, of Portland Interment of the remains took place in Huntingdon, 
Pa., beside the body of a son. Mrs.Dunn is the only child surviving.
