The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, January 25, 1961
Funeral service for Mrs. Emma M. Gibbs, 84, who died at Bradenton, Florida, 
January 20 will be held at Neller funeral home in Portland Thursday at 2 p.m. 
Mrs. Gibbs was born in Sebewa township and had spent most of her life in that 
area.  For the past several years and until last summer she had spent her 
winters in Florida and returned to her home near Portland for the summer.  Her 
husband, Norman, died several years ago.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruby 
Wilson of Portland; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two sisters, 
Mrs. Edna Wenger of Portland and Mrs. Ada Johnson of Brigham, Utah.  The Rev. 
Robert Treat will officiate and burial will be at East Sebewa cemetery.
