Martin Jr. Gibson, 75, of Belding passed away Saturday evening, March 30, 2002 
at his home.  He was born on Feb. 8, 1927 in Carson City, the son of Martin V. 
and Nellie L. (Reinsmith) Gibson.  Marty retired from Extruded Metals and 
Aluminum Corp. in 1989.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marjorie (Scofield) Gibson; his 
children, Linda Gibson of Greenville, Glenna Scofield of Gowen, Cheryl Warner 
of Greenville, Mrs. Larry (Vicki) Anthony of Lansing, Mrs. Gordon (Karen) 
Sanborn of Riverdale, Kim Geister (Gregg Skaggs) of Sheridan, Martin (Dianna) 
Gibson of Stanton, Clarence (Sharon) Scofield of Lansing and Carl Holmgren of 
Lansing; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mrs. Alta 
Burke of Belding; and brother, Daniel of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen L. (Arnold) Gibson on March 
28, 1978; his mother on Oct 27, 1993; daughter, Rose Ann Gibson on Sept. 19, 
1998; and father-in-law, Levi Burke on Nov. 22, 1990.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral 
Home, Belding, with Pastor Mark Van Kleeck of Orleans Bible Church 
officiating.  Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.  Visitation will be 
from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.  
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alvah N. Belding Library or the 
American Cancer Society.
