Gibson. Forrest Sheldon Gibson was born December 6, 1907 and died January 23, 1925, aged 18 years. Forrest has always lived in this community with the exception of 7 months when the family moved to Battle Creek for the treatment of his brother, John, who passed away three and one-half years ago at the age of 16 years. The two brothers were inseparable in this life as we feel they are in the next and are as happy as they were here. Forrest entered Belding High school September, 1922, where he was a junior student at the time of his death, which followed an operation for appendicitis. Throughout his three years of High school he was admired for his unaffected manner, his clear wholesome countenance, his sincerity in school work, his dependability and loyalty to his school and home, and those qualities of manliness made for him lasting friends. He leaves a mother, father and brother Donald and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The funeral was held January 26 at the home, Rev. Chas. Heywood, of Saranac, officiating. The burial was at Easton cemetery.
