Mrs. Giddings died at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at Ionia County Memorial hospital as result of a fall in front of her home April 13. She was born in Metamora, January 5, 1880 and was graduated from Clio high school. She was employed in Lansing until 1905 when she was married to Frank Giddings and came to Ionia. Mr. Giddings was a clothing merchant here until his death in 1931. Mrs. Giddings retired in August 1961 after 30 years as assistant librarian at Hall-Fowler library. She was a member of First Presbyterian church and Martha circle of the church. Surviving are two nieces, Lucile Rogers of Flint and Mrs. Max Emmons of Detroit. The Rev. Wilfrid G. Sawyier will officiate and entombment will be at Highland Park mausoleum. A memorial to First Presbyterian church has been established.
