Peter and Paul church Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock with interment at the family lot at Mt. Olivet cemetery. Mrs. Gierman was born in Hamilton, Canada, to Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Duffy. At the age of two or three years, her family moved to Ionia where they got some land from the government and cleared and settled it. It is now located at 262 Fargo street. At the age of 24 she married William C. Gierman. After living for a while on Yeomans street and for a few years in Saginaw, they returned to Ionia and made their home on Fargo street. Mr. Gierman’s death occurred 10 years ago and since that time Mrs. Gierman has made her home with her children, Mrs. George Klug in Ann Arbor, Frank in Ionia, Leo in Cadillac, Harry in Detroit, and Edward in Lansing. Besides her children she leaves one sister, Mrs. Emma Witzel, of Ionia. Mrs. Gierman was a member for many years of the Rosary society of SS. Peter and Paul church and of the Lady Maccabees.
