SUNFIELD- Martha S. Gierman, 92, former Sunfield resident, died Monday in 
Belding Christian Nursing Home.

Born June 11, 1894, in Sunfield Township, she was the daughter of Moses and 
Sarah Hoover Frantz. She was married to Carl Gierman; he preceded her in death 
in 1965.

Surviving are two daughters, Gretchen Cominetto and Carol Ritmaster, both of 
New Jersey; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four brothers, 
Royal Frantz of Grand Ledge, Ernest Frantz of Florida, Delman Frantz of Lake 
Odessa and Russell Frantz of New Jersey; and two sisters, Fannie Smith of 
Hastings and Lucille Feasal of Quincy; a son, Maynard Gierman, preceded her in 
death in 1973.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home, 
with the Rev. Arthur Heisler officiating. 

Burial will be in Sunfield Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 
p.m. 

a memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
