The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, March 1, 1986


Muriel J. Gierman, 82, of 1120 33rd Avenue W., Bradenton, Fla., a former Ionia 
resident, died February 26 at L. W. Blake Memorial Hospital, Bradenton.  She 
was born in Hope, Mich., the daughter of John and Mabel Williams Joynt.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer R. Gierman; they had made their home in 
Bradenton since 1966.  Also surviving are: a daughter, Joanne M. Green of St. 
Louis, Mich.; two sons, Karl E. R. Gierman of Northville and Michael J. 
Gierman of Norfolk Va.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two 
brothers, John J. Joynt of Sedona, Ariz., Gerald Joynt of Birmingham, Mich.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. from 
the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Bradenton, with the Rev. D. Gilbert 
Dieffenwierth officiating.  Funeral arrangements were made by Bradenton 
Funeral Home, 5100 Cortez Road W., Bradenton, Fla.  33519.
