The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, May 28, 1943

Mrs. Florence Giffin, 80, Rt. 3, Belding, was found dead in her car in the 
garage at her home Thursday afternoon.  Coroner Paul W. Bloxsom attributed 
death to a heart attack.

Mrs. John Nash, a neighbor, found Mrs. Giffin slumped over in the driver’s 
seat and the ignition of the car was turned on.  The body was removed to the 
Fitzjohn funeral home, Belding.
