The Ionia County News, Thursday, March 24, 1949

Funeral service for Mrs. Blanche Coles Gilbert was held at Lowell, March 14, 
and she was buried in the South Boston cemetery.  Mrs. Gilbert, a former 
school teacher and for many years a resident of South Boston, died in Detroit 
where she had spent the winter months for many years, and returned each summer 
to her farm home in Boston Township.  Several nieces and nephews survive.
