CHARLES GILBERT DIED MONDAY
Mrs. E.O. Collier received word Tuesday of the death of her brother, Charles 
Gilbert, 80, of Alma. He passed away Monday night after a long illness. His wife 
Daisy suffered a stroke Friday and is in serious condition.

Mr.Gilbert a native of the Sunfield area was a former business man there before 
going to Alma.

Surviving are his wife; five sisters, Mrs Collier, Mrs Jerry Parker of Mulliken, 
Miss Meda Gilbert and Mrs Daisy Davenport of Grand Rapids, and Mrs Nellie Shantz 
of Peterborough, Canada and a brother Ed of Big Rapids, two sons and a daughter.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the funeral home at Riverdale with 
burial in the Meadowbrook cemetery, Mulliken.

E.O.Collier and son Jerene were two of the bearers.
