The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 2, 1948
Henrietta L. Gilbert, 78, died at the University hospital at Ann Arbor 
Saturday evening.  Mrs. Gilbert had frozen her right foot, and gangrene had 
set in.  She was born in Parmalee October 13, 1869, in Kent county, and had 
lived in Belding for the last 40 years.  She was the daughter of Homer and 
Nellie Gilbert.  At one time she was employed at the Richardson Silk company 
as a spooler.

Surviving her are a nephew, Vern Gilbert, of Mainsville, Ohio, and a cousin, 
Mrs. Addie Treat, of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held from the Fitzjohn funeral chapel Tuesday at 2:00 
p.m. with the Rev. J. C. Mottashed officiating.  The body will be placed in 
the mausoleum in Belding and later taken to the Parmalee cemetery.
