The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 11, 1967
Mrs. Maude E. Gilbert, 89, of 740 Cross street, Portland, passed away at an 
Ionia nursing home Sunday.  She was the widow of Frank Gilbert who preceded 
her in death five years ago.  They had been residents of Portland over 50 
years.

Survivors include four sons, Burton of Sunfield, Owen of Stanton, Leo and 
Francis of Portland; five daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Hemingway of Grand 
Rapids, Mrs. Ila Schwartz of Farwell, Mrs. Lucille Barnes, Mrs. Dorothy Judd, 
Mrs. Shirley Urie of Portland; 21 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; three 
great great grandchildren.

Survives will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland.  Rev. 
Raymond Norton of Portland Methodist church will officiate and interment will 
be in Portland cemetery.
