Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Nov 1946

Funeral services for Ralph Gilchrist, 69, who died November 20 at the Ionia
County Memorial Hospital after a long illness, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from
the Myers funeral home with the Rev. A.R. Kuehn officiating.  Interment was at
Balcom Cemetery.  Bearers were Orie Maynard, Otto Northrup, Leon McQuillan,
Clyde Markham, James McBrayne and Ted Bloomer, all members of the Odd Fellow
lodge.  The Odd Fellow lodge attended in a body.

Attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. William Phenix of Everett, Mrs. Mary
Fisher and Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hart and daughter, Kay, of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs.
Lionel Wea[unreadable] and daughter, Irene and grandson, Gary of St. Johns; Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Kosbar and daughter Jeanette, and Mrs. Albert Welch of Hastings;
George Belding of Barryton; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Elcie of Belding; Mrs. Florence
North of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Diamond, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilchrist,
Mr. and Mrs. James Holly and Ralph Diamond of Flint; Mr. and Mrs. Vance Maxson
and daughter, Orpha, of Detroit.
