Ionia Standard, 13 Nov 1896

Alonzo Gilchrist, proprietor of the Eagle hotel, died yesterday of paralysis. 
He suffered his third stroke on Monday night, the first stroke occurring about a
year ago.  His age was 56.  Funeral from residence at 2 p.m. Saturday; services
by Rev. W.H. Scott; interment in Highland Park.
