Ionia Daily Sentinel, 31 Aug 1953

Miss Viola Lavina Gill, 52, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 29, at the hospital 
in Marshall.  She had been an invalid for the past five years.

She was born July 26, 1901, in Muskegon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gill.  
She spent her entire life in Muskegon, Grand Rapids and Ionia.  Her father died 
in 1943. 

Surviving are a step-mother, Mrs. Ella Gill, of Woodland; and two half-sisters, 
Mrs. Allen Grinage of Woodland and Mrs. Basil Henckel of Athens.

Funeral services will be held at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home Thursday at 3 
p.m.  The Rev. Roger Stressman will officiate.  Interment will be in Tuttle 
cemetery.
