Gill, 51, of 922 Alderman street, died suddenly at his home Tuesday. He was born in Owosso February 12, 1926 and lived in the Belding area for 40 years. A retired electrician, he was a member of Hugo Fales post 203 American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars post 4406, a former member of the Belding Fire department and had served with the Army infantry in World War II. He was also a former partner in the Howard J. Brown and sons electrical contracting firm. He married the former Norabelle Brown May 30, 1947 in Belding. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Terry (Patricia) Cranmer of Belding, Kathaleen Gill of Ft. Gordon, Georgia and Molly Gill at home; two sons, Michael of Wurtsmith AFB, Oscoda and Timothy of Belding; one sister Mrs. Ronald (Mona) Hubbard of Eureka; one brother Leonard Maxwell of Park Ridge, Illinois and three grandchildren. Services are Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Charles M. Courser funeral home with Rev. Wilford D. Wood officiating. Military services are under the auspices of the Hugo Fales post, American Legion. Burial is in Ashley cemetery. A memorial fund is established for the American Legion children’s home.
