Belding Banner, 2 May 1895

Kate Gilland died at E. E. Whitford’s Monday, where she was boarding, aged 18
years, of scarlet fever.  She has been in the employ of Belding Bros. & Co. for
about two years, was a faithful operative, loved and respected by all who knew
her.  She was a daughter of Samuel Gilland, of Bethany, Gratiot Co., where the
remains were taken for burial, Tuesday.
