Lake Odessa Wave, 24 Jan 1935

Lois Gillett Bever was born January 22, 1859, in Rome township, Lenawee county, 
Mich., and died January 13, 1935, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 22 days.

While she was still a young girl her parents moved to Odessa township, Ionia 
county, where a few years later she was converted, baptized and received as a 
member of the United Brethren church at West Odessa.

On October 8, 1879, she was married to W. Freeman Bever of Odessa by the Rev. 
Isaac H. Mourer.  They immediately went to housekeeping on their farm about 
three miles northwest of Odessa Center where they continued to live until they 
moved to Lake Odessa in 1910.  Shortly after this they joined the 
Congregational church here.  Mr. Bever died March 24, 1924.

She is survived by six children: Guy E., Clyde W., Mrs. Pearl York, Mrs. Edna 
Klingman, Clifford H. and George W., and 17 grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.
