Ionia Sentinel Standard – 26 December 1936
The death of Fred Gillette, 74, occurred at the home in Berlin Township, 
Thursday, December 24 at 9:30 o’clock in the evening.  Mr. Gillette had been in 
ill health for the past four years.



He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gillette and the last member of the 
family.  He spent the greater part of his life on a farm in Ionia Township.



Funeral services will be held from the Boynton funeral chapel, Monday, December 
28 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.   Rev. Kenneth Griswold of the LeValley 
Methodist Episcopal church will officiate.  Interment will be in the family lot 
at Tuttle Cemetery.
