Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 26 Dec 1957

Mrs. Abbie Gilliam, 86, passed away at 11:30 Christmas night at a convalescent 
home in Ionia where she had been a patient for a year.

Born April 1, 1871 in Texas, she was a daughter of Lewis and Susan 
(Christopher) Priest.  She came to Lake Odessa seven years ago from Dallas, 
Texas, following the death of her husband Oscar.  Mrs. Gilliam was a member of 
Full Gospel church, Lake Odessa.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. L. Green of Lake Odessa and one grandson.

Funeral service for Mrs. Gilliam will be held Friday at 8 p.m. and graveside 
service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lakeview cemetery at Bellaire.
