Lake Odessa Wave - January 25, 1945
            MRS. CLARA GILLILAND DIED THIS MORNING
                                         --------
   Mrs. Clara Demaray Gilliland, 27, passed away this Thursday morning at the Edward
W. Sparrow Memorial 
hospital in Lansing following an illness from pneumonia since Saturday.
   Mrs. Gilliland spent the most of her life here in Lake Odessa at the home of her
grandparents Mr. and Mrs. 
John Demaray.  She was a graduate of the Lake Odessa schools.  Following her
marriage to Russell Gilliland 
the last several years of her life were spent in Lansing.
   Surviving besides the husband are two small sons Michael and Gary, her mother
Mrs. Pearl Demaray and a 
sister Delores in California, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Demaray here.  Her
father, Clayborn Demaray, was 
killed in and automobile accident in Lansing a few years ago.
   Services will be held in Lansing, the time and place not yet determined, pending
word from the mother in 
California.
