Ionia Sentinel, 2006

Sandra Gillman aged 59, of Belding passed away February 7, 2006 in Greenville. 
She was born March 16, 1946 in Muir the daughter of Omer Clare and LaVon Mary 
(Kreul) Postle.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Belding.  Sandra worked at 
Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons, Helping Hands Hospice in Ionia and Michigan 
Bell.  She loved animals.

Sandra is survived by her loving children Gregory Gillman of Ionia, Blake and 
Julie Gillman of Orleans, Nicole Knight of Belding, Megan and Marty Ulrich of 
Belmont, Margo Gillman of Big Rapids; sister Mary Postle of Kentwood, ten 
grandchildren, father of her children, Ken Gillman of Sheridan, one uncle, and 
several aunts and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m., Saturday at SS. Peter & Paul 
Catholic Church in Ionia with Father Melvin Fox celebrant.  Internment in 
Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives Friday 2 to 4 
p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and one hour prior 
to services at the church.  A scripture service will be held 8 p.m., Friday at 
the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution to American 
Diabetes Association.
