He was born in Orleans township April 4, 1869, and married Daisy B. Steadman in 1894. He has lived in Berlin township for twenty-six years. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Velma J. White of Ionia and Mrs. Gladys M. DeMoss of Jackson; two sons, Lyle L. Gilmore of Berlin and Ronald of Pontiac; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother, Wallace, of Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held form the Myers funeral home Friday at 2 o’clock p.m. with the Rev. Howard Fuller officiating. Interment will be at the Woodard Lake cemetery. ---- Funeral services for Charles Gilmore, who died Tuesday, January 15, at his home in Berlin township, were held at the Myers funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. Howard Fuller officiating. Interment was at the Woodard Lake cemetery. Bearers were his grandsons, V. J. Bourgeois, Warner Gilmore, Donald Gilmore, and Richard Cahoon. Attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gilmore of Pontiac, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. DeMoss and V. J. Bourgeois of Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Gilmore, Mrs. Arthur Gilmore, Mrs. Harvey Comrie, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Stedman and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stedman of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Gilmore and son, Kenneth; Mr. and Mrs. George Stedman, Mr. and Mrs. John Stedman and Leslie Stedman of Palo.
