Donald C. Gilmore, aged 84, of Ionia passed away Nov. 15, 2009 in Grand Rapids.
 He was born August 2, 1925 in Saranac the son of Lyle and Cora (Warner)
Gilmore.  Donald married Charlotte L. Lehman April 2, 1981 in Las Vegas.  He
served in the Army during the Korean War and he worked for Brown Corp. for 33
years.

Donn is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Charlotte Gilmore of Ionia;
children, Linda (Larry) Unverzagt of Illinois, Donella (Danny) McClain of
Manistique, Charles (Cheryl) Gilmore of Ionia, Debra (Marshall) Williams of
Arizona and Rebecca (Darrell) Sherman of Greenville; stepchildren Patricia Beebe
of Ionia, Nancy (Paul) Hunter of Nevada, Victor (Karen) Lehman of Ionia, Teresa
(Scott) Shotwell of Ionia and Steven (Cheryl) Lehman of Ionia; stepsister
Phyllis Rogers of Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; 43
great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church
with Pastor Cliff Allen officiating.  The family will receive friends and
relatives Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.  Anyone wishing may
make memorial contributions in Don’s name to Ionia County Animal Shelter or Zion
Church.
