Mrs. Gilson was born Jan. 20, 1866 at Wayland, the daughter of William and Adeline Thompson Husted. She was a former resident of Vermontville and Grand Rapids, moving to Lake Odessa from Grand Rapids six years ago. She attended the Congregational church in Lake Odessa. Her husband Thomas died about 15 years ago at Vermontville. Surviving Mrs. Gilson are two nephews, Orie Barnes of Grand Rapids and Hugh Barnes of Lyons; three nieces, Mrs. Jennie Kings north of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Sylvia McClow of Belding and Mrs. Rossie Gibson of Grant. The body is at the Pickens Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with graveside services at the Restlawn cemetery in Grand Rapids at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. A. J. Pitman of Lake Odessa will officiate.
