Gilson, the mother of Postmaster Leon Gilson, who died Sunday at her home in that village. Mrs. Gilson was 79 years of age and had been a long time ill. She was born in Ohio and in 1881 was married to William Gilson at Sunfield. Besides her son, Leon, she is survived by a son Chalmer of Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. P. J. Welch and Mrs. Fred Wilcox of Sunfield, and Mrs. Carson Beyer of Charlotte, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
