Portland Observer, 1 Mar 1923

The death of Edwin Charles, the four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Ginnebaugh, occurred at the family residence, east of Collins, Monday morning 
at 4:00 o’clock after an illness of only a few hours, diagnosed by the 
physicians as paralysis of the lungs.

Besides the parents he leaves two sisters, one six years old and one seven 
months old, a half sister, Mrs. Herman Stiffler of Lansing and a half brother, 
Gilbert Ginnebaugh.

The funeral was held from the residence this afternoon.  Burial was made in 
Portland cemetery.
